Jenny is an accomplished interior designer with considerable experience discovering and incorporating vintage elements into her work. This interest in “dusting off the old” comes from many trips to antique markets as a child, wandering around with her father for hours on end. She can see it – can actually feel it – when a thing of the past is ready to make its debut once again. And so it was with wallpapers.

“Classic beauty speaks for itself. I say, let it speak”

— Jenny Keenan

In her travels, she uncovered several books brimming with long forgotten French antique fabric swatches and marveled at the artistry; was astonished by the colors and delighted by the intricate patterns. A whisper: don’t let this be lost to time!…Something was here and her own riffs and reimaginings were preparing to come to life.

Archives: A curated wallpaper collection was born. In the way that dressing up walls transforms a space, Archives seeks to captivate the imagination, preserve historic artistry, and remind us that inspiration is everywhere, just waiting to be sparked.

Jenny Keenan founded Jenny Keenan Design, a Charleston, SC based interior design firm, in 2004. She began her design career with a well established interior design firm in Charleston and worked on an array of residential and commercial projects. With nearly two decades of hands-on experience, Jenny is a prominent force in both residential and commercial design. Her body of work includes private residences, workspaces, restaurants, and boutique hotels — from Kiawah Island, SC to Charlotte, NC to Baltimore, MD to New York, NY to Scottsdale, AZ and beyond. Her work has been featured in BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS, SOUTHERN LIVING, GARDEN & GUN, REAL SIMPLE AND CHARLESTON magazines.

Archives, like all of Jenny’s work, is a tribute to her father, John Hackenberg, who always said, “Find out what you do best and do more of it.”
